AuthorPhotoOneConundrum Press released Red Canyon Falling on Churches my second book of poetry on my birthday in 2015. Other works include Crazy Chicana in Catholic City published by Conundrum Press in 2012, and my chapbook, The Road I Ride Bleeds, published by Casa de Cinco Hermanas Press, in 2013. I’m a fifth generation Southern Colorado Native and a lifetime member of the Sandra Cisneros’ Macondo Foundation: creative writers whose work is socially engaged and who view their writing as way of changing lives by fostering literacy. I was invited to participate in an ekphrastic poetry workshop at the University of Utah’s Museum of Fine Art for the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s collection of Latino art: Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art. I have taught Language Arts and teatro and was part of Colorado Humanities’ Writers in the Schools Program for three years. I’m writing my first novel and having more fun than a monkey in a banana house.
